URGENT APPEAL – Financial Aid (Local)
A locally based Syrian refugee family living in Kampung Tunku in Petaling Jaya is in dire straits, needing help to settle a hospital bill of RM40K for the child’s treatment for meningitis. As foreigners don’t qualify for free/subsidized hospitalization, the family had to borrow from friends to enable treatment to proceed and to settle the bill before the child could be discharged.
